Jim Trusty
Principal
Jim’s distinguished career includes over three decades in public servic as a federal prosecutor, and then as Chief of the Organized Crime and Gang Section for the U.S. Department of Justice. After Jim went into private practice, he was retained by President Donald J. Trump for representation in possible defamation claims against various media outlets. Trusty also played a prominent role in Trump’s defense against the Special Counsel’s January 6 investigation, and in the Mar-a-Lago documents investigation. In this capacity, Jim litigated intricate and precedent-setting issues around executive privilege and attorney-client privilege.
Jim applies 35 years of experience in law to resolve complex disputes in a broad array of industries from cyber security to computer fraud. He regularly provides legal and political analysis on major cable networks, including Fox News
Jim earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law. He has a B.A. in Economics from Wake Forest University where he graduated cum laude.
