Ross Branson is a seasoned government affairs professional with over a decade of experience. As Managing Director of NexusOne, Ross leverages his extensive network from service in the Trump Administration and on Capitol Hill to advance the objectives of clients across diverse sectors.

Before joining NexusOne, Ross served as Director of Government Relations for a defense tech startup, where he played a pivotal role in securing funding for the development of autonomous ocean vehicles and advancing the company’s vision to transform environmental monitoring and maritime operations.
In the federal government, Ross served as Senior Vice President for Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs for Export-Import Bank, where he led the agency’s longest reauthorization effort, and as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs at the U.S. Department of Commerce, shaping trade policy and Section 232 tariffs. His political sector experience extends to advancing legislative initiatives on tax reform, healthcare, and trade as Chief of Staff for Congressman Jason Smith, and holding senior positions in numerous successful state and federal political campaigns.
A graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with degrees in Political Science and Communications, Ross has cultivated strong relationships with key stakeholders in government and the private sector and established himself as an influential leader in legislative affairs.
